Vineyards Sassaia

Monferrato

Home of our Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Chardonnay, Gavi and Super Piedmont Blend.

Garbagnina

Southwest facing vineyard, overlooking Villa Carolina 36 hole golf resort. It is composed of white limestone based soil which originates from ocean sedimentary rock including calcareous shells and small marine life. Home to our Nebbiolo and Dolcetto. We planted three clones of Nebbiolo ( CVT 308, CVT 142, CVT 71) on two hectares in the guyot style. The Dolcetto (CVT 8) is more than 20 years old, covering a hectare and planted in guyot style.

Riolo

Our coolest north facing microclimate hosting our Piedmont Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay (R 8 and VCR 10) is planted on two separate plots, ranging from 10+ to 35+ years of age. The Pinot Noir (828) is our smallest vineyard, planted in 2012.

Gigi

Red marine clay provides the foundation for our Gavi (Cortese: R 3). Our six hectares of gavi vineyards are 15+ years of age planted in both East/West and North/South in guyot style.

Colli Tortonesi

Home of our Timorasso located on the highest vineyard of Monleale overlooking Val Grue and Val Curone.

Profigate

Southwest facing on Val Grue, located at 410 meters, the soil is composed of chalk and white fine grained limestone that breaks down into a white powder, providing natural water management for the vineyards. Timorasso clone is from the original old Santamaria vine.

Cadaborgo

Northeast facing on Val Curone, the soil is a blend of red marine clay and calcareous limestone, which produces full bodied powerful wines. Timorasso clone is from the original old Santamaria vine.
