The culture of wine production spawns from gracious land and old vines refined by toil, creativity and craftsmanship. Sassaia produces artisanal wines that please the new world palate while respecting old world style. Our foundations are based on the colloaboration between Enrico de Alessandrini, decendant of a Nobel family from Trento with roots in Capriata d’Orba, and fifth generation wine maker Pierre Naigeon of Gevrey-Chambertin; 50+ acres of vineyards; hand harvested grapes; natural vinification; old traditions and modern techniques.
