“In Denmark – explains Daniele Oddone, president of the OVADA Consorzio – they know Italy well and appreciate it. The masterclass, aimed at operators, took place in the morning and in the afternoon it was open to the public.” This materialized after a long and difficult preparatory period. There were nine local wineries present with their wines, representing a wide range of the territory: Cascina Gentile, Rocca Rondinaria, Facchino Vini, Alvio Pestarino, Sassaia, Cavanna Vini, Cà del Bric, Casa Wallace, Castle of Grilano. Denmark was chosen in the belief of finding already fertile ground. “We found thorough knowledge, not only from our region, but also from areas of Monferrato near the Ovadese. From the point of view of wine they know Barolo, Barbaresco, therefore they appreciate structured and refined red wines.
